Shareholder Feedback
As an organisation we are always pleased to receive feedback from shareholders – both on the positive and negative aspects of our performance. The annual general meeting and shareholder events provide opportunities for shareholders to discuss issues and opportunities with the staff , management and directors of CRT. Shareholders will generally take the time to pick up the phone or write to us when they have had a particularly good or bad service experience.
With growth and change over the years we have strived to maintain our standards of service, and also tried to communicate our strategy as we have grown or expanded into new areas of business. Through the informal feedback we gain some insight into the customer perception of CRT – although this type of feedback generally relates to the extremes.
To provide a better understanding of shareholders' expectations of CRT and their perceptions of our overall performance and other aspects of our service, we are currently completing market research with a random sample of shareholders. We appreciate your support of this project as it will influence our future performance. We will provide feedback to all shareholders through the Agline when the project is completed.
CRT FarmCentre Gulf Oil Road Show
Our team have just completed a South Island road show launching the Gulf Oil products through our CRT FarmCentres to CRT shareholders and customers of CRT Fuel. The road show featured the Gulf Ford GT40 and the events were very well supported – with local staff getting behind the power of the Gulf brand, and a good number of customers attending and purchasing product. For many the brand loyalty association with Gulf and Bruce McLaren has been a strong influencer. At CRT Richmond the number of sales transactions on the day of the launch surpassed the record set on the day of the store opening last year.
We are honoured to have Alain Dujean, the London-based International Gulf Oil Vice President, and his wife Claudine, visiting with us this month. Although supporting the French rugby team at the Rugby World Cup, he will forgo the opportunity to be at the rugby final to support Gulf Oil, CRT and the local Waimate community at the Waimate 50 GT Series motor race meeting at Labour Weekend. Through the CRT, Gulf and McLaren connection, we will also bring South Canterbury born and world-renowned motoring wordsmith Eoin Young to the event. Eoin was the race announcer for the inaugural Waimate 50 event in 1959 which was won by Bruce McLaren. Through this association, Jan McLaren, the younger sister of Bruce, will also attend the meeting representing the Bruce McLaren Trust. This promises to be a great event for the region.
